Purple Basket Quilt

Here is some shots of a Basket-weave quilt that I quilted for a dear friend a while back. We thought it turned out great and I was so glad that her pattern did not deter her from finishing it when things became frustrating! With a little coaching, prayers and praises this little purple gem is going to be a wonderful gift for a special someone!

Lots of Texture

This quilt came to me with a lot of blank areas to "play" with. I love it when my customers tell me to "Do whatever you want" and the ideas just start tormenting me!

The quilt top didn't lay exactly flat and so I wasn't real sure how all the textures would ultimately turn out. But, I think because of the heavy texture, it turned out wonderful.

MONSTERS!!!

What little boy or girl wouldn't LOVE this monster quilt!?! Just in time for Halloween!

Puff-Heart Quilt

This little gem was fun to work on. Storm at Sea variation with a feminine touch for a little girl. I added in the lofty batting behind the heart for an extra touch of love. The lady who pieced it always does wonderful work and I'm always glad to see her projects.

Hearts Etc.

I'll name this one for my late beloved sister who had a shop named Hearts Etc.
This is a customer quilt that was made with tiny squares and as usual I get excited to see what she brings next. I instantly decided that geo-meander squares would work and she loved how it turned out. It just worked and that makes us happy!

Dancing Swirls

This Quilt decided that it wanted dancing swirls and once I got it started, I was seeing flying bats and so thought of wind blowing around. So we shall say wind-blown swirls! It's funny how the quilts talk to us long-armers and although we don't always hear what they say, we learn something with each one!

Catching Up

The first photo is for example of what can be done for a customer's quilt that has seams that may not line up exact.

Easy edge to edge or all-over designs are often all that is needed!

Fell in Love with Colors

I would have this customer's quilt hanging over my banister just for displaying in my home! I absolutely love the colors. She made this quilt for her sister and I am so happy to have gotten to quilt it!

Love this Sampler

I've always had a fondness for Sampler Quilts. This customer handed me the reins on this and I love how it turned out.
